Appreciation of the University Social Responsibility by the teachers of the FCA Tijuana

Abstract

The present work is the result of an investigation whose objective is to know the teachers’ perception of the School of Accounting and Administration (FCA), of the Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana campus on University Social Responsibility (RSU). The methodology used is of an exploratory and descriptive type with a quantitative approach, the instrument used is a questionnaire designed based on the First Steps Manual of Vallaeys, De la Cruz and Sasia (2009), in which the axes are analyzed: “Responsible Campus”, “Citizen Professional Training”, “Management and Care of the Environment”, “Social Participation” and “Social Knowledge Management”, articulated as part of the substantive functions of teaching, research, management and extension. For the study, 122 surveys were applied to a population of 337 full-time subject teachers.
