Abstract

Subjective career success describes the perception of a set of desirable achievements, results and aspirations in the workplace, product of the evaluations carried out by the worker based on individual psychological needs and their own career objectives. This type of assessment has started to gain interest in a context signed by new configurations of work trajectories, as well as changes in the nature of work and organizations. Therefore, it is of interest to present an update and state of the art on the phenomenon. To this end, a bibliographic review of full-text scientific articles published in the last five years (2014-2019) in specialized databases was carried out. Analysis of 51 allowed to describe different conceptualizations and operationalizations of subjective success, the variables related to the construct, as well as the various forms of measurement proposed.
