Abstract

The investigation called: “Detection of financial bankruptcy in companies in the manufacturing productive sector of the city of Bogotá”, analyzes the strengths and weaknesses at an accounting and financial level that the companies of this productive sector of the city of Bogotá have throughout the year 2016 to 2020, establishing the probabilities of business bankruptcy that can occur based on the accounting year; according to the analysis of the financial ratios generated by each productive unit in a given period of time and their respective economic repercussions, according to the financial statements and the accounting year and their contribution to economic development for the city of Bogotá. The Altman Z-score Model allows to determine in a precise and certain way the probability of financial stability sufficiently in advance with respect to the date of the company’s bankruptcy, establishing a minimum percentage of error in its calculation.
