Abstract

The subjects considered critical, being under this concept those that present indicators of significant failing (equal or superior to 30%), are presented in all the university careers, being one of the most repetitive Mathematics in its different levels, especially in the initial one.

Based on the above, the careers of the universities face two realities; one is the level of basic mastery in Mathematics of the students at the entrance, which comes from their formation of Secondary Education, and another, to the need to implement in their formative curriculum subjects of leveling with the intention of protecting the minimum level of knowledge in mathematics required.

The specialists assure that the perception is the first cognitive procedure that allows the subject to capture the information of the environment that surrounds it through the energy that reaches the sensory systems. This procedure has an inferential and constructive character. In this context, the internal representation of what happens outside arises as a hypothesis. The data that the receptors capture is analyzed in a gradual way, together with the information that the memory gathers and that contributes to the processing and creation of said representation.
