Abstract

This study analyzes the existence of knowledge management practices at the higher education level in Chile, particularly in those universities that present the maximum number of years of institutional accreditation and that are recognized as leaders at the country level. A model based on these practices that will carry out the accreditation processes in those institutions that are not so well qualified. The research is descriptive exploratory in nature and has a study of multiple cases, involving high government authorities, accreditation, business and the institutions studied. Thus, the present research is domiciled in the qualitative paradigm where, from the theoretical framework, a proposal of categories of analysis is built from the investigation itself in order to establish the practical bases for the construction of the model that optimizes the processes of management in higher education institutions.
